Obituary of Barbara Mackenzie
Barbara Mary Mackenzie passed away peacefully at the Maple Grove Care Community, Brampton on Friday, May 28th, 2021 at the age of 75. She is survived by her brother James (Jeanette) Mackenzie, niece Jodi Rodgers, nephew Scott Mackenzie and dear friends Lianne and David Bowles and Elizabeth and Brian Lofthouse. She will be missed by her many friends and coworkers. Special thanks to Maple Grove staff for Barb’s excellent care. She will be forever in our hearts and remembered for her courage and generosity, her wit and compassion, not to mention her fierce determination in living independently. We have many fond memories of Barb and lessons learned by her natural teaching and leadership abilities. Her students were her stars! Her friends were the luckiest people alive! RIP Barbara. A private graveside service will be held at the Bertie B.I.C. Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Port Colborne B.I.C. Church.
