Obituary for Barbara Shipman
Barbara Shipman, a member of Walpole Island First Nation and formerly of Delaware First Nation, Moraviantown, peacefully passed away at her home on Walpole Island on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the age of 89. Barbara is the daughter of the late Charlie and Rena Lewis. Beloved wife of the late Martin Douglas Noah and the late Wellington Shipman. Loving mother of Cindy Kewayosh (Ted), Pat Noah and the late Debbie Dodge (John), Eric Noah, Ann Noah and Mary Noah. Cherished grandmother and great grandmother, predeceased by her grandchildren Garrett and Danielle. Dear sister of Irene Peters and the late Ross, Dave and Earl Lewis. Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at her grandson’s home at 238B Altiman Rd., Walpole Island on Monday evening and on Tuesday. Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 1 PM at Moraviantown United Church, 22617 Centre Street, Moraviantown. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, reservations are required and may be made by calling the family. Masks and social distancing are mandatory. Interment at Moraviantown, Cemetery.
