Peacefully at Chartwell Nursing Home, Aylmer, Arthur Edward Wilson of Tillsonburg passed away on November 4, 2021 at the age of 91 years. Loving husband of 71 years to Joyce (nee Mellick). Father to Judy Barrett, Jim Wilson and his wife Debra, Mike Wilson and his wife Geno, Sandra Wilson and her husband Danny McLean. Grandfather to Whitney, Courtney, Kim, Matt, Nick, Adam, Danielle, Jill, Taylor, Alec, Merissa, and Ashley. Great grandfather to 13 great grandchildren. Brother to Charles Wilson, Margaret Bell and Bill (Mary) Wilson. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Richard Wilson and Mabel Butler, son-in-law Bob Barrett, Brothers John Wilson, Donald Wilson, and sister Jean Howe. Art loved old tractors, farming, square dancing and grew the best tomatoes in Oxford Country (self proclaimed). Visitation will be held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3T6 (519) 842-5221 on Monday November 8, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Guests are asked to register online on Arthur’s tribute page using the RSVP button or by calling the funeral home. Masks will be mandatory. As vaccination status will not be checked, social distancing rules will apply. A private graveside service will take place at Springford Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Arthur’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Mt. Elgin United Church and can be done by contacting the funeral home.
