Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Grand River Hospital in his 83rd year. Dear son of the late Jesse and Virginia Cook.
Beloved husband of Catherine Cook. Loving father of Jane (Bert) Candela, Bill Cook, Andrew (Marion) Cook. Cherished grandfather of Jesse, Kristy, Samantha, Lexi, Chantal, Ben, Grace and great-grandfather of Ayden, Blair, Rory, Remi, and Lily. Dear brother of Wanda Cook.
Arnold was predeceased by his parents Jesse and Virginia Cook, his first wife Betty Cook and brother David Cook.
Tex was in the U.S Navy and did two tours in Vietnam and a member of the Hespeler Legion Branch #272. Tex is a retired Firefighter with the Cambridge Fire Department. Tex had a big generous heart and gave back in many different ways like the Foodbank, sponsoring the Texan’s girl’s baseball team for many years and gave to many other charities.
Arnold’s family will welcome family and friends at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Thursday, September 30th from 5-8 pm. A private family mass will be held at St. Mary of the Visitation Parish. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to Cambridge Food Bank or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
