Arnold Clarence Sobey, husband of Linda (Matchett) Sobey of Maple Glen, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the age of 74.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Clarence and Elsie Sobey.
He is survived by his son David Sobey (Krista) of Truro NS; his daughter, Donna Burke (Richard) of Cains River; his foster son Justin Pothier; his sisters, Alice Allain (Late Anthony) of Miramichi and Gloria Taylor (Clarence) of Miramichi and his 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Logan and Braden Burke and Ella and Paige Sobey.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Phyllis Weseen (Lorne) of Calgary Alberta, brothers Cecil and Budd Sobey (Carolyn) of Maple Glen and infant daughter Theresa Dawn.
Arnold Clarence Sobey is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alice Szemok officiating.
In his memory, donations to Maple Glen Cemetery or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
