Passed away suddenly on June 9th, 2020 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Survived by his wife and best friend Judy, children Scott, Kerri Ann (Shawn) O’Rourke, and Cathy Doe; grandchildren Cole, Riley, Nicole, Taylor, and Elizabeth. Also surviving are his brother Wayne (Lorna), sisters Eileen (the late Stewart) Healey, Diane (the late Earl) Rintoul, great-grandchild Ellie and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Bessie (Burns), son Jeffery, daughter Donna. There will be a Graveside service at a later date. For those who wish, a donation to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Graveside service will be held at United Cemeteries on Friday September 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 192, 177 George Street, Carleton Place following the graveside service from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. Proof of vaccination and ID will be required to attend the reception at the legion. Arrangements entrusted to the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home Carleton Place.
