It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest Antonious on June 11th, 2021 at the age of 84. Reunited with his beloved wife Liza Azar (Seeman) of 64 years. Devoted father to Mary (Eli) Hindi, Joseph (Aida), Sam (Diane), Joanne (Richard) Morneau, and Tony. Beloved Gido to Michael (Melany), Michelle (Sam), Melissa, Kristina, Amanda, Samantha, Krystal (Anthony), Erik (Danielle) Heather, Sam Jr. and Daniel. Cherished Great Jido to Elias, Nathan, Mary, Mason, Macey, Olivia and Julian. Predeceased by his parents Merchad and Zakia Azar. Cherished brother of Fayaz Azar (Lebanon), Fayza Touma (Lebanon), Joseph Azar, Kalim Azar, and the late Kalima Touma. Antonious was an inspirational volunteer, lighting the way for the Lebanese Center of Bashir Gemayel, and was recently honored and celebrated with the Volunteer Recognition Award. He was a dedicated and founding member of St. Charbel’s Parish, spending countless volunteer hours uniting his love for his church and heritage. His love and admiration for his homeland Lebanon was admired by all, and he instilled his love for his lebanese culture and faith to his children, grandchildren and all that knew him. Above all else, he loved his family and his wife Liza, and both are now reunited, smiling down at their beautiful family. His memory will be eternal, and he will forever live in our hearts. Antonious was loved by many and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of the Azar and Omar family. The family asks that the donations be made to the Ontario Brain Injury Association. Reservations and personal face coverings are required to attend visitation on Thursday June 17, 2021 from 2-5 p.m and 700-830pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave, South Windsor, 519-969-5841. A private family Mass will be held at St. Charbel’s Church on Friday, June 18th (Livestream will available through the St. Charbel’s Facebook Page) followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
