Obituary for
Annunziata Piano
March 25, 1933 to December 28, 2021
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Annunziata (Tina) Piano at the age of 88 years, surrounded by her loving family after a 15 year struggle with Alzheimer’s. Annunziata was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Mario Piano.
Annunziata was born in Campobasso, Italy but lived in Edmonton since 1954.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Silvana DeLuca (Mario), Mike Piano (Madonna),
Sonia Piano; Grandchildren, Ilena Parsons (Lindsay), Robert DeLuca (Aubrey), Gianni DeLuca (Brittany), Nikki Murphy (Sandy) and Toni Murphy; great-grandchildren, Christian, Ava, Mila, Sydney, Mackenzie and Taylor.
Annunziata is survived by her in-laws Nunziatina DelCioppo, Maria Tagliamonte, Carmela Armani, Nicola Piano (Antonia), Antonio Piano (Brenda) and Gennaro Piano (Michelina).
Annunziata was treasured and loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Annunziata was predeceased by her parents Nicola and Angela DelCioppo; in-laws Michele and Giovanna Piano, her brothers, Antonio DelCioppo (Concetta), Giovanni DelCioppo, Raffaele DelCioppo; sisters, Libera DeSantis (Giovanni), Maria DiNiro (Rocco); sister-in-law, Ninetta Villani (Giovanni); brothers-in-law, Angelo Tagliamonte, Peter Piano (Maria), Ermanno Armani, and Gino Piano.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to Dr. Parrish for his compassionate care, and to the amazing staff of Capital Care Dickinsfield for the extraordinary care of Tina (aka Mamma and Nonna).
Funeral Service to be held Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. Due to COVID restrictions, the services to honour Annunziata’s life will be limited and by invitation only. You are welcome to view a livestream of the service by logging onto www.parkmemorial.com and selecting “Webcasting” from Annunziata’s Book of Memories on her page.
Per the Restriction Exemption Program, you must provide proof of vaccinations (QR code with valid ID for those 18 years and older), or proof of a negative rapid COVID test taken within 72 hours of entry, or an original medical exemption letter.
