Annie Elizabeth Lyon September 15th 2021

Annie Elizabeth Lyon (Beth) (née Millar), born April 11 1930 in Trail BC, passed away on the 15th of September with her children by her side, sleeping peacefully in her hometown. Her departure was just as she’d hoped it would be.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of sixty-seven years, Raymond R. Lyon, and her parents Alex and Lena Millar, of whom she was the only child.
Mom is survived by her daughter Teresa Perrin (husband Perry), son Raymond A. Lyon (wife Jan) and daughter Shelley Lyon. Also by her granddaughter Zoe Sather (Danny), grandson Spencer Krug (Julia), granddaughter Stacie O’Leary (Graham), grandson Trevor Lyon and grandson Jesse Lyon (Austin). Beth was also blessed with five great grandchildren whom she grew to know and love: Jessica, Cash, Sailor, Elvis and Valo.
Forever a Bonnie Lass, mom will be remembered as a supportive wife, and a nurturing, loving mother. Loyal, doting, and forgiving, she was always present for her family.
Mom grew up close to her cousins and extended family. She and Dad lived in Trail BC, where they worked hard and raised their children. She was involved in the family businesses of Marshall Wells and the Tastee-Freez in East Trail. In 1969 the family moved to Kelowna BC, where she worked and volunteered endless hours of her time at the Cancer Clinic.
Some of Mom’s happiest stories were of her and Dad’s world travels together. They enjoyed trips to England, Ireland, Haiti, Barbados, Portugal, Australia, Scotland, and the Cook Islands. They once lived in what Mom called “a hippy VW van” for seventy days, driving from Kelowna to Newfoundland and back again, having amazing adventures together along the way.
Bright and sharp-witted until the very end, Mom enjoyed the last few years of life happily at Rosewood Village in Trail, where she earnestly followed baseball, tennis and curling on TV, and often skyped with her children and grandchildren. Her family is extremely appreciative of the care, support and love that was extended at Rosewood.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations made in Beth’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. All donations are greatly appreciated. You are also invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the family’s register at www.myalternatives.ca
Mom was amiable and kind-hearted. Her favourite song was “What a Wonderful World,” and her favourite colour was sunshine yellow. She is missed now, and will be forever.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Annie Elizabeth Lyon September 15th 2021..
