Anna (Brubacher) Kraemer of Barwick, ON passed on to her eternal reward on
July 18, 2021 at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 23 days, at her home where she
resided with her daughter and husband.
She was born on April 25, 1934 in Waterloo, ON to the late John and Rebecca
Brubacher.
On March 9, 1955, she was united in marriage to David Kraemer. The Lord
blessed them with 57 years together and a family of two sons and two daughters.
In June, 1965 they moved to Deer Lake, ON where they were involved in mission
work. In June, 1967, they moved to the Rainy River district where they resided for the
next 23 years. September 1990, they moved to Keenes, IL. From 2005 to 2009, they
returned to the Rainy River District for the summers. Due to failing health, in April 2010
they moved in with a daughter and her family in Stratton, ON. On May 2, 2012, her
husband, David Kraemer died. In March of 2014 she moved in with her daughter and
husband in Barwick, ON.
Fondly remembered by her children: Raymond and wife Doris of Wayne City, IL;
Eva, Mrs. Larry Steiner of Barwick, ON; Miriam, Mrs. Melvin Heatwole of Altona, MB;
and Andrew and wife Lois of Sullivan, IL. She is also lovingly remembered by 22
grandchildren, and 71 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Kraemer; 3 brothers; Enos, Joseph,
and Seranus; 3 sister-in-laws; Rita, Elenora, and Viola, and one grandson: Gary
Kraemer.
In her youth Anna accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized into
the Mennonite church. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Pineview
Mennonite Church.
In light of the present covid restrictions, a viewing will be held at the Pineview
Mennonite Church, Friday July 23 9:00 to 10:00 for those not attending the funeral
service. Funeral service (by invitation only) at the Pineview Mennonite Church, Friday
July 23 at 10:30, with interment following the service.
We as a family wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our relatives,
friends, neighbours, and dear church family for your kindness and support during our
mother’s failing health, and in this time of loss.
We are also grateful for the many caregivers, Annie Martin, Marlene Brubacher,
Melinda Martin, Rhonda Rempel, Rachel Nighswander, Betty Bauman, Almeda
Nighswander, Jane Krahn, Ann Martin, and Lucy Ruppert, that helped us on a regular
basis, and for the many that filled in as well, making it possible for us to care for her in
our home till her peaceful passing.
