It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann (nee
Godfrey) Smithson on November 24, 2021.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Arthur Godfrey and Margaret
(Tommy) Godfrey and her loving husband of 56 years Victor (Dan)
Smithson.
She is survived by her siblings Peter Godfrey and Judith (Mike)
Horswill, her three children Patti, Brad (Bonnie) and Bryan (Jana), her
four grandchildren Cole Burns (Noele), Kayla (Jake) Mehring, Allister
Smithson (Alexis) and Jeremy Smithson and her greatgranddaughters Berlin and Teddy Ann Mehring. She will also be
missed by her extended family in BC and many friends in Nelson and
Arizona.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Lee MacKay
for his compassion and kindness during her brief illness. Per Ann’s
wishes there will be no service or memorial. Donations of
remembrance can be made to the BC Cancer Society.www.bccancer.bc.ca
