Ann Rose Gorber
Ann Rose Gorber (formerly
Fridhandler, nee Parelman) was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on August
25, 1933 and passed away in Moncton, New Brunswick on February 9,
2021.
She was loved and will be
forever missed by her entire family and close friends. Ann is survived
by her son Daryl Fridhandler (Ellen) of Calgary and Sheryl Simon of
Toronto and her grandchildren Arnie Fridhandler (Rachael Wolf) and
Rachel Fridhandler, both of New York, Natalie Simon of Vancouver and
Jordan Simon of Toronto. She was predeceased by her parents, Abraham
(Abe) and Rachel Parelman, and her brother Harold Parelman and sister
Sandra Ely.
Ann enjoyed time with her
immediate and extended family, attending many family celebrations over
the years. She never passed on an opportunity to travel to places near
and far, usually around family events or holidays. She was the belle
of the ball in her earlier years, and always a gregarious and gracious
hostess. She was also a real balabusta – in charge of the home and a
wonderful cook who made sure family and friends were never
undernourished with great food.
With her immediate family living away from
her, she was helped by some close friends, and our heartfelt thanks go
out particularly to Nicole Druckman and Ann Dunn-Allen, and her
friends and the staff at Canterbury and Monarch Hall in Riverview, NB,
where she lived happily in recent years.
A private graveside service will
be held in Moncton, New Brunswick on Friday, February 12,
2021.
Arrangements entrusted to
