DAVIS, Anita Louise (nee Dixon)
January 11, 1962 – August 24, 2021
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Anita on Tuesday August 24, 2021, in her 60th year, after a short but courageous fight against cancer. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Loving wife and best friend of Norm for over 33 years. She is the cherished mother of son Eric (Jodie) of Wellington and daughter Jessica (Cody Bain) of Belleville.
She was predeceased by her parents Pat and Zella Dixon (nee Landry), brother Douglas Dixon and nephew David Dixon. Survived by loving and very close siblings, Carole Dixon of Belleville, Lorraine Dixon of Oshawa, Barbara Dixon (Graham Arbery) of Cambridge and James Dixon (Lisa Hicks) of Belleville.
Also survived by in-laws and great friends, Kim Lepoidevin of Belleville, Tom (Debbie) Davis of Frankford, Doug (Pam) Davis of Windsor, Darren (Donna) Davis of Belleville, Greg (Tammy) Davis of Belleville and Jennifer Reid (Brad Ostrander) of Belleville, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and step grand-daughter Miloh Bain.
Anita was born and raised in the Stirling area where she spent much of her younger years helping her parents with the family farm and at the Belleville Farmers Market. After graduating from CSS she started working in the banking business, spending 41 years at opposite corners of Front and Bridge St., beginning at Guaranty Trust in Century Place and ending at TD Bank, where she was still working until recently. She provided dedicated, professional and caring service to all of her customers and clients, many becoming close and dear acquaintances. It was a career that afforded her the opportunity to work alongside many people and garner special relationships. They laughed together, cried together and yes even partied together! The friendships forged during those many years meant the world to Anita and made coming to work each day that much more enjoyable. Outside of work, Anita enjoyed her time camping at her trailer in The County, staring at the stars, reading, gardening, travelling, and anything that involved being with family or friends.
Finally, a special thank-you to all the Doctors, Nurses, PSW’s, Care Coordinators and supporting staff that assisted in Anita’s care. It was very much appreciated.
A Memorial Visitation will take place at JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) on Friday August 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, August 28th at Sophiasburgh Cemetery, Prince Edward County.
