Andrew’s Obituary
With great sadness, the family of the late Andrew Dul of Canora, SK, announce his passing at the Kelvington Hospital on September 12, 2021, at the age of 83 years.
Andrew Marion Dul was born November 11, 1937, in Canora, SK, to Joseph and Mabel (nee Shabbits) Dul. He was raised on the family homestead, northwest of Canora, SK, and attended Kowalowka School.
On July 10, 1965, Andrew married Iris Perrick in Swan Plain, SK. They were blessed with two children, Cheryl and Bradley, which they raised on the family farm.
Andrew was a skilled mechanic and welder, which greatly benefited him in the various jobs he had including his work for Peter and Vicki Baron. Andrew later worked as a grader operator for the RM of Buchanan and the Town of Canora. Following his retirement, Andrew spent his time helping Bradley on the field and later also helped Richard Stefanyshyn until his health began to decline and he could no longer offer his helpful assistance.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, playing cards, and gatherings with family and friends. Throughout his retirement, he enjoyed socializing with the coffee group, driving around/crop checking, and visiting with friends and neighbours. Above all, Andrew loved and appreciated time spent with his grandchildren, frequently taking them on the tractor with him, and attending their hockey games.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mabel Dul; and his sister, Joyce Guspodaruk.
He is survived by his wife, Iris; daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Olynyk; son, Bradley (Sherlene) Dul; grandchildren: Travis Olynyk, Madison Olynyck, Laura (Scott) Boghean, Dwight Dul, and Brandi Dul (Stephan); great-grandchildren: Lilith Olynyk, Weston Boghean, and Logan Boghean; brother, Stan (Elizabeth) Dul; and his sisters: Stephanie (Florian) Slogotski, Joan (Gary) Goulden, Marie Halerewich, Elizabeth Dul, Jeanette Dul; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
