Amanda Anne Niebergall June 4th 2021 avis de deces

It is with deep love and much sorrow that we announce the passing of Amanda on June 4, 2021.
Amanda was diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer in May 2018. She fought her disease with enormous courage, with dignity and with a deep compassion for those around her. She lived through the progression of the disease until her peaceful passing at the Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit at the age of 33.
Amanda was born January 20, 1988 in Regina, SK. She was an intelligent, caring extrovert that loved her family and friends fiercely. She was a very giving person and always tried to help when she could. She especially loved her adopted nieces and nephews and spending special time with them so that they knew how much she loved them.
Amanda had found her passion in life working with young children and really enjoyed her time at the Regina Early Learning Center. After Amanda’s diagnosis she became a passionate advocate for the elimination of cervical cancer and had board positions with HPV Global Action and CPAC (Canadian Partnership against Cervical Cancer) as a patient advocate. Her hope was that no one would have to go through what she had experienced.
Amanda will be deeply missed and remembered by her father Glenn Niebergall; mother Laura Bernier (Paul Saum); her brother Shane Niebergall (Ashton Malcolm) and niece Charlotte; stepbrother D’Arcy Saum (Amy) and their children Eleanor and Lou; stepsisters Michele Saum (JR) and their son Charles and Megan Saum; her grandmother Phyllis Niebergall and a host of extended family and friends from across Canada and the world.
We extend our gratitude to the many nurses and doctors that were with Amanda through her journey. Special thanks to everyone at the Regina Allan Blair Cancer Centre, Dr. Al-Hayke, Dr. Ahmjad and nurses Dana, Cindy, Robin and Lacey. To Amanda’s cousins Becky Laursen and Kim Friedrich words will never express how much your love and support meant to Amanda as she faced and went through treatment, we thank you for always being there for her.
If you wish in lieu of flowers, we would request donations to be sent to HPV Global Action or The Regina Early Learning Center in Amanda’s memory.
We will be having a Celebration of Life at a later date, details to follow.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Amanda Anne Niebergall June 4th 2021..
