Alma Cormier
1926-2021
Alma Cormier, 95, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully surrounded
by the love of her family, on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at the UHC
Dr Georges L. Dumont, Moncton. She was married to the late Omer J.
Cormier (1993). Born in Saint-Antoine, she was the daughter of the
late Jean-Baptiste and the late Eugénie (Maillet) LeBlanc.
Alma worked for several years in the kitchen at the New Brunswick
Community College in Moncton. Alma was kind, charitable, with a big
heart and always a smile on her face.
Alma will be sadly missed by her four daughters; Jeannette Lirette
(Joseph), Gloria Allain (Claude), Denise Richard (Jean-Claude) all of
Saint-Antoine and Louise Cormier (Dennis) of Dieppe, her seven
grandchildren; Luc, Daniel, Monique, Sylvie, Lyne, Martin and
Stephanie and her three great grandchildren; Shawn, Gabrielle and
Kaleb as well as several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one
sister Hélène and two brothers; Alphonse and
Télex.
The family would like to especially thank all her friends and other
tenants of the apartment for the wonderful moments spent with her, and
also for all the visits she received at home that kept her company
thoughout her life.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, a private visitation and a
private funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Interment will be
in the Saint-Antoine parish cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine.
