Allan Andrew (Tim) Canfield
in his 86th year
Son of Sid & Margaret Canfield, brother of Irene, Lorna, Harold and George, all deceased. Husband of Louise (Powless) for 62 years. Father of Brian (deceased), Jeffrey (Jackie), Bradley (Simone), Robert (Nancy) and Susan (Tobin). Grandpa to twelve precious grandchildren, Danielle, Mitchell, Kiersten, Monique, Joshua, Shayna, Emily, Lydia, Jared, Tom, Kiona and Brianna and great grandpa to Rielle, Ronnie, Jaxon & Mia.
Al worked in the civil service for 11 ½ years, first as a postal clerk, then as a customs officer in Oshawa. He then spent 31 years in General Motors, retiring in 1994.
He enjoyed gardening, growing veggies for family and friends, cottage life at Mayo Lake, a round of golf with his senior buddies and he is known to have put up a building or two.
Thanks to Dr. Lorne Stephens & Dr. Ali for over 40 years of excellent health care, and to God Almighty who allowed him more than three score and ten.
Absent from the Body ~ Present with The Lord.
Visitation & Funeral Service will be held at TRULLS ROAD FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 2301 Trulls Road, Courtice, date and time are yet to be confirmed. Interment Ebenezer Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville. Memorial donations may be made to Trulls Road Church or The Gideon’s.
