HILLGARDNER, Allan David 1925 – 2021
It is with much sadness the family of Allan (Shorty) Hillgardner, (formally of Cherhill and Tomahawk AB) of Stony Plain, AB, announce his sudden passing on Thursday, April 8th, 2021, at the age of 95 years.
Allan was a WWII Veteran who served with the Regina Rifles in England. While stationed there he met the love of his life, his wife Ellen. Upon returning to Canada after the war, Allan delved into a life of working on the oil rigs and farming. Allan was a successful dairy/beef farmer until finally at age 89 he stopped farming.
Allan will be forever remembered by his children Ken (Pam), Pat (Lou Ann), Bonnice (Norman), Keith (Doris) and Melinda (Darrel). Also 18 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Brothers, a sister and numerous other family members.
Allan was predeceased by his wife Ellen, children Gail Marie and Robert, grandson Scott and great grandson Dallas.
Thank you to the George Hennig Place and staff as well as the Misericordia Community Hospital and staff.
Cremation has taken place and a outdoor service will take place at a later date to be determined.
