Obituary of Alfred Torbicki
Passed away at the Woodlands of Sunset on February 9, 2021 in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Torbicki. Loving father of Christine Torbicki of Port Colborne and Edward Torbicki (Linda) of Waterloo. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ted, Karl, Emma Torbicki and by his nieces Gabriela, Margaret, Lydia, Diane and Irene. Predeceased by his brothers Konrad, Klemens, Kazimier and by his sister Jadwiga. Alfred was born and raised Jaszczerek, Poland and was taken to Germany during the Second World War. He later managed to escape Germany and joined the British Army Polish Core serving in Italy and France. After the war Alfred emigrated to Canada on a work visa, working on a farm in Stevensville for a few years until he got employment at INCO where he worked for over 35 years. After his retirement, Alfred loved to spend time in his garden. Alfred was a member of the Polish Legion, Polish Society and St. Therese Roman Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the PSW’s for the care they gave Alfred at his home and to the staff at the Woodlands of Sunset.

There will be a private family Funeral Service in the Armstrong Chapel and Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
