Alexina Babineau
1933-2021
RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Alexina Babineau 88, of
Richibouctou-Village passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Born in
Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Joseph LeBlanc
and late Madeleine (Cormier) LeBlanc. Alexina was a member
of the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church and the
Richibouctou-Village Golden Age Club. She was an avid card
player, and enjoyed playing bingo, quilting and
clogging.
Alexina will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 67
years, Jean Babineau of Richibouctou-Village; one son, Leandre
Babineau (Donna) of Webster, MASS; two grandchildren, Andrew Babineau
(Alyssa), Jaclyn Babineau (late Jaime Babineau); one great
granddaughter, Alexina and many nieces and nephews.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was
predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Florida, Aurore, Lauraine
and ten brothers, Honoré, Azade, Léandre,
Gerard, Cyrille, Albert, Alex, Elias, Alonzo and
Léonard.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 pm (only) at the
St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room in
Richibouctou-Village. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:30 am, St. Antoine de Padoue Roman
Catholic Church in Richibouctou-Village. Donations in
Alexina`s memory may be made to the NB Alzheimer`s Society and
would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to sincerely thank Diane Babin for
being so caring and wonderful to Alexina and Jean, keeping them in
their home before their journey to the Villa. Also thank you
to the staff at the Villa Maria for all their kind and compassionate
care.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be
required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and
government issued ID at the funeral home and at the funeral
mass. Masks are mandatory and we ask that social distancing
is respected.

Funeral Home in Richibucto (523-4252).
