Death announcement
BARBER, Albert Dillane
The family of Albert Barber sadly announce his passing on February 15, 2021, at Eastholme, Powassan in his 89th year. Albert was predeceased by his parents Ted and Anna Barber and his brothers Bob and Jack Barber. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Arlene (Miller) of Nipissing; his children Andy (Cindy), David (Melanie), and Valerie (Tim Costello); and the light of his life granddaughter Samantha (Dan Castillo). Albert was a quiet man willing to help anyone as the need arose. He loved being in the bush, hunting and fishing, cutting his own firewood, and keeping his garden. Albert drove truck throughout the 1960s, and then worked at Fabrene from 1970-1997. His last couple of years were difficult with dementia taking it’s toll. His sudden, but peaceful, passing was the result of a heart attack. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Burial of ashes to be at Nipissing Cemetery in the spring. If you wish, memorial donations to the Nipissing Knox United Church, Powassan Food Bank, or the Eastholme Residents Fund are suggested.
