Agnes Mary Walsh avis de deces

Passed peacefully away with her family by side, Agnes Walsh at the Ruby Manor Retirement Home, St. John’s, age 90 years. Mom was born and lived on St. Brendan’s, a community she truly loved. She is predeceased by her husband Edward (Ned); parents John and Alice Colbert; brothers Joseph (Grace), Frank (Kate), William and Loyola; son-in-law John Croke and baby grandson Keith Hynes.
Leaving to mourn with precious memories her children Joan Croke, Alice Linney (Andy), Carmel Yeager (Bruce), Ed (Shirley), Gerry (Helen), Sandra White (Albert) and Glenn (Florence); grandchildren Renee, Rita, Jillian, Alison, Collin, Adam, Courtney, Caitlyn, Hilary, Jordan, Christian, Meghan, Mia and Reid; great-grandchildren Logan, Addison, Ethan, Nolan, Austin, Leah, Peyton, Rachel, Jack and Nash; sisters-in-law Anita Colbert and Klara Colbert; many nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Over the years Mom was involved in many groups and organizations in her church and community. She enjoyed a good game of cards, bingo, darts and all other social functions. She loved get-togethers at her home and all was welcome; the more the merrier.
Mom opened her home to many, including visitors, tourists and out of town workers. She made lifelong friendships and developed a special bond with the Hydro and Ferry workers.
Our family would like to thank the staff at the Ruby Manor Retirement Home. The care, love and tenderness you gave Mom over the past 2 years was beyond exceptional. She loved all of you. We are so grateful that she was given the privilege to remain in her “new home” for her final days. You went above and beyond for Mom and the rest of the family during this time.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave and on November 13th & 14th at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, St. Brendan’s. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, November 15th at 11:00 am with interment to follow at the R.C. Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted as Mom loved flowers or donations in her memory may be made to St. Gabriel’s Parish.
When someone you love becomes a memory; the memory becomes a treasure.
