Retired Registered Nurse, H. J. McFarland Memorial Home –
Peacefully entered into rest after a lengthy battle with cancer on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton. Karen Elliott (nee Dean) of Picton died at the age of 69. She was the daughter of the late David & Kathleen Dean and was the beloved wife for 50 years of Jack. Karen was the loved mother of Bryan (Allison) of Kingston, Devon (Grant Falconer) of New Zealand and the late Brooke. She was the adoring grandmother of Isla, Owen, Kennedy, Sylvie and Theodore. Karen is survived by her sister Janice Barker of Stoney Creek and is predeceased by her brother David Dean. She will be missed by her aunt Florence Sawyer of Delta as well as her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Elliott is resting at the Whattam-Hicks Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton (613-476-2450). A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Picton Food Bank would be appreciated by the family (cheques only, please).
