Audrey Frances Wilcox
1940-2021
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB
on July 29, 2021, Mrs. Audrey Frances (Richardson) Wilcox, beloved
wife of Sheldon Wilcox, of Pennfield NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on
January 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Naomi
(Urquhart) Richardson.
A loving wife, mother,
grandmother and sister, she is survived by; her beloved husband
Sheldon of Pennfield NB, her daughter; Jeannie (Mark) Butler of
Pennfield NB, her son; Haven Wilcox (Angela Robichaud) of Blacks
Harbour NB, her grandchildren; Sarah, Caitlin, Alex and Andrew, great
grandchildren: Lexis, Taylor, Madison and MacKenzie, her brother;
Austin (Mary) Richardson of Blacks Harbour NB as well as several
nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her brothers Clinton and Hanley.
Prior to her retirement, Audrey had
worked for 25 years as a packer for Connors Brothers in Blacks
Harbour. In her earlier years Audrey began a teaching career which
took her to many communities throughout the county. Family time was
most important to Audrey as she cherished the time spent with her
family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She
also was a lover of nature, the outdoors, as well as taking walks, and
when she was able, tending her garden, and not to be forgotten, her
delicious baking. Audrey was also a long time member of the Wesleyan
Church in Blacks Harbour NB. She will be sadly missed by her family
and all who knew her.
Resting at the Wesleyan
Church, Blacks Harbour from where the service will be held on Saturday
at 2pm with Rev. Ken Banks officiating followed by interment at the
Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Friday from 2-4
and 6-8 pm. In Audrey’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society
of New Brunswick or a charity of the donors choice will be appreciated
by the family.
