It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Jim) Mansfield on December 1, 2020 at the Health Science Centre in the presence of his family.
He is predeceased by his father Selby Mansfield as well as his in-laws Alban & Mary Hearn.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his beloved partner Linda Hearn, mother Susie Mansfield, sisters Marilyn Mansfield Barnes (Paul), Elizabeth (Lloyd) Hopkins, son George (Betty) Morris, nephews Andrew (Susan) Gallant, Philip (Melissa) Hopkins and their families. Extended family Jeff (Cheryl) Cook, Craig Cook and Becky Forsey, Jill Cook and Matthew Fardy. Grandchildren Jarrod, Matty, Callie, Rylie and Owen. Brothers in law Bobby (Barb) Hearn. Donnie Hearn and sisters in law Kathy (Bren/Sonny) Paul, Mary Lou (Tyrrell) Cornwall.
Coworkers Brian, Sharon and Matt. As well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Jim was a man of many talents, a lover of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking and in latter years a baker and a gatherer of friends.
Arrangements entrusted to Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. At Jim’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Ave on Thursday, December 3 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Visitation at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Friday December 4 from 10-2pm. Funeral Service at 2pm. Inurnment to follow at New Melbourne Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital.
His charming ways and smiling face are a pleasure to recall. He had a kindly word for each and died beloved of all.
