Obituary
Heaven gained another angel on August 7, 2020 with the passing of William (Bill) Siroishka at 81 years of age. He joins his mother Mary, father Peter, sister Melvena, and his beloved wife and soul mate Eleanor. Bill is survived by his brothers Victor (Denyse), and John (Patricia); sisters Olga and Patricia along with his children and grandchildren Deb (Len, Jessica, Dylan), Lori-Lyn (Ryan, McNeil), Rob (Phil, Abbie, Mackenzie), Bonnie, Kerrie (Brent, Veh, Cailsie) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dad was an honourable man with a generous heart of gold. His faith was unwavering and loyal to the end. He approached life with compassion and simplicity. Growing up, our home was a revolving door to many who needed a place to stay and meals to feed them while they could get their feet firmly beneath them. Dad never judged and supported others in any way he could. He encouraged and comforted but never steered. Dad loved a good time with family and friends. He was always joking and enjoying a good laugh. He loved nature, fishing (although never seemed to catch any fish!), and bringing home stray animals when we were kids. He taught us many lessons in life, the most important to love unconditionally, accept what we can not change, have faith and forgive. We will miss you here on earth Dad, but we celebrate your joyous reunion with those that left before you. May you dance with Mom forever and hold her tight. With love. Prayers will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502-2 St SW) on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 7:00-8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Blvd NW) on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 1:00pm. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
