Wallace George Moore passed away on Tuesday December 1, 2020 at the age of 79. Wallace died peacefully at Gander Hospital with his beloved devoted wife Doris Moore by his side
Wallace was born on Change Islands on Jan 7, 1941 to his late parents Alex and Mary Moore.
In 1963 he met his wife Doris and they have been married for 57 years.
1970 the decision was made to move from Change Islands to Carmanville so he could have better access to Medical Services.
Throughout the years he has battled with many illnesses, he was a true example of what a human body can survive. His famous words “I proved the Doctors wrong again” will always be remembered and make us smile. His family considered him to be a “Medical Marvel”
His extraordinary memory of people, places and events from the past was outstanding.
Despite his endless days of sickness throughout the years, he always lit up when someone visited. He was always so kind and patient to the Nurses and Doctors over the years. He loved and spoke very highly of his Health Care Workers who have been with him over the past four years.
Wallace is survived by his wife Doris Moore, Sons Calvin (Colette) Moore and Ronnie (Sherri) Moore, Daughter Joanne Moore, his sisters Betty Edwards, Etti (Guy) Diamond and brother Ralph (Colleen) Moore, Sister in-law Margaret Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wallace is predeceased by his brother Arch Moore and brother in-law Evelyn Edwards.
He took extreme pride in his grandchildren Keith Maloney, Shyla Dejesus, Cameron Moore, Colton Moore, Nathan Moore and Amber Moore and Great Grandchild Logan Moore.
With open arms he accepted and loved his step granddaughters Ashley Gomes and Heather Eimers and was always so witty in identifying the twins apart.
Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean we will miss you, until we meet again
Rest in peace we love you.
