We regret to announce the passing of Thomas Joseph Chisholm, age 82, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bras d’Or on August 24, 1938, he was the son of the late John Angus and Mary Margaret (Jessome) Chisholm. He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church.
Tommy worked for many years at the Prince Mine until his retirement.
In his younger years, he loved to hunt and fish, travel, and go on adventures with his wife Margaret. As he grew older, he loved to watch TV and spend time with his family. Tommy was an amazing father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was dearly loved by his family. He was deeply respected and loved by all of his lifetime friends and family.
He is survived by his only daughter Nancy (Joe), sons Billy, Daren (Lauralee), Blair, and Thomas Jr. (Susan), grandchildren Chris, Daren, Nicole (Violet), Logan, and D.J., special great-grandson Dominick Thomas Chisholm, many great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Osmond), son Wayne, and his grandson Tyler.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 11 am in Trinity Anglican Church. Seating in the church is limited due to Covid restrictions. Donations in Tommy’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to his family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
