It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Carr announces his passing after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, March 15th, 2020, at the age of 72 years.
Tom was born in Sarnia, Ontario on July 17, 1947.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 40 years Diana, and his daughter Deirdre (Terry) Bailey. Tom will be forever remembered by his grandchildren Lilly, Edith, Myka, Kye and honorary grandchildren Rachel and Riley. Sadly missed by his brother Jim (Carolyn). Tom will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephew and dear friends.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Cuthbert and Edith; his son Steven (Janet) and brother David (Janet).
A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First Street Orangeville – date and time to be announced. Memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice, Alliston would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Tom in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
