TODMAN, Bruce
1948 – 2020
Bruce Todman died at home in Quebec City on February 22, 2020. Beloved father of Luke (Katie Johnston) and husband of Brenda Edwards. Predeceased by his parents Henry (Harry) Todman and Margaret (Peggy) Sheepwash, by his wonderful brother Keith and sister-in-law Francine Rivet. He leaves to mourn: his cousins in the Todman and Sheepwash families, Judy and Joy Clarke, Ron McAlistair, John, Sue, Jim, Bill, Lorie, and Michael Todman and Gord Taylor, Francine’s son Vincent, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in the Edwards family, Brian (Anne Mainguy), Martin (Louise Auger), Frank (Gerrit Philipp), John (Knut Nesse) and Vincent (Jennifer Fleming), as well as many nephews and nieces. He will be dearly missed by his good and loyal friends, especially Stan, Bosco, Milt and Merrick, and his Camp Runamuck buddies.
Bruce was born in 1948 in Long Branch, a lakeshore neighbourhood west of Toronto, and was an avid sportsman with a lifetime passion for professional sports, especially lacrosse, which he had played professionally. He loved comedy and movies, for which he had a phenomenal memory. He worked in sales and marketing and lacrosse and did voice over work for commercial audio.
The family is very grateful to the doctors and staff of the cardiology and hematology departments of L’Enfant-Jésus Hospital and to the nurses of Jeffery Hale Community Services.
The funeral will take place on Friday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 1145, de Salaberry in Quebec City, Quebec, G1R 2V7. The family will receive condolences at the church from 12:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Brigid’s Home are suggested www.jhsb.ca/en/chsld-saint-brigids
