Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Tom on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Southampton Hospital at the age of 81. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Joan. Stepfather to Peter (Lisa), Paul (Sherry), Cherry, Penny, Wendy (Andrew) and predeceased by Stephen. Tom will be fondly remembered by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother to Margaret and Catherine, and brother-in-law of Esther. Predeceased by his siblings Bob, Rose, Mel and his brothers-in-law Joseph and Howard. Also survived by his nieces and nephews Edward (Sophie), Raymond (Dorothy), Audrey (Frank), Cathy (Eric), Mark, Stephen (Laureen), Robert (Elan), Grant, Hugh and predeceased by Maureen. Tom was happiest working around the farm but also loved to be social in the community. He would never pass up the opportunity to play a game of euchre or to watch a hockey game. He did many things throughout his life including working at the Point and owning and operating the Harbourlite Restaurant along side his wife Joan. Friends will be received on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222. Please call the funeral home to book a time to attend the visitation. A private family funeral service will be held and live streamed on Monday, November 30, 2020 at 1:00pm. Memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
