It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Thérèse (Melanson) Belliveau wife of the late Ovide Belliveau, which occurred on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst, at the age of 88.
Born in Scoudouc, NB she was the daughter of the late Henri Melanson and Léa (Belliveau) Melanson. Her biological parents were Narcisse Belliveau and Tilla Bourque.
Thérèse loved to play cards, bowling and quilting blankets. She truly enjoyed her many trips to Florida, United States and in Canada with her late husband.
She is survived by her only child, Monique (Michel) Doucet of Bathurst. Two beloved grandchildren: Eric (Anik) of Tide Head and Julie (Charles Couturier) of Bathurst.
One sister: Bernadette Melanson (late Yvon) of Shediac.
Three sisters in law: Stella, Hectorine (late Albert Maillet) and Jeanita (late Ronald Allain) all of Shediac.
One brother in law: Urbain Belliveau (Brenda) of Shediac
Several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by two sisters Andrea and Camilla. Three brothers in law: Ronald, Camille and Joseph.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Eve-Marise Boudreau and the dedicated staff of the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes for the care given to Thérèse. A special thank you to Annie Poirier for all the time she spent with her, it was much appreciated.
At her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Friday July 31st at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church in Bathurst.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) in Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Thérèse may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
