Born June 9, 1920, in Northwich, Cheshire, England, Beloved husband of Muriel (nee Staden) and loving father of Chris (Gail) of Dorchester. Predeceased by his parents Roderic and Olive (nee Wright). At age 6 Michael came to Canada and spent his formative years on the family farm in Penzance, SK. Michael felt called to the ministry and left home to attend St. John’s College in Winnipeg, MB. Studies were interrupted by the war during which Michael served in various capacities. Post war he resumed his studies, graduated and ministered in both MB and SK. In Saskatchewan, Michael met the love of his life (65 years), Muriel. They married in 1955 in Regina and welcomed Christopher in 1961. During their partnership they ministered together in Rock Glen, Cabri, Garden River, Echo Bay, Goulais River, Blind River, Massey, Garson, Sudbury and Lively. Michael was also Chaplain of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 336 Falconbridge-Garson for 23 years. Michael and Muriel spent their holidays camping across Canada and in retirement travelled to England and Scotland. In 2017 they moved south to be closer to family where Michael became a resident of the Veterans Care Program at Parkwood.
