Born on Nov.22, 1937 in Laiyang, Shandong Province, China, Yuanqi Teng moved to Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province in 1956, and later emigrated to Vancouver in 2009.
Our dad was a devoted husband to his wife Zuolan Liu and a dedicated father to his family of five children. He was not a saint nor an exceptional scholar, but just an ordinary hardworking person who loved his family. He tried his best to support all five of us with food on the table and adequate formal education which was an expensive commodity at that time.
We are sorrowful for losing him but at the same time proud of the legacy he left behind.
He will be remembered with love by his wife Zuolan Liu, his five children and their spouses, his six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Dogwood Lodge for all of their care and compassion shown to dad during his time with them.
