Sylvia “Chum” Craft
1939-2020
Sylvia “Chum” Grace Craft of Tobique First Nation passed
away unexpectedly at the Upper River Valley Hospital on the evening of
September 21, 2020.
Sylvia was born in Tobique First Nation, NB, on March 4, 1939. She was
the daughter of the late George and Marion (Moulton) Bernard. Sylvia
leaves behind her daughters, Roxanne Sappier (Lyndon), Ellen Perley,
Erica Craft (partner Aaron Nicholas), all from Tobique First Nation,
NB, Jade Craft of Fredericton, NB; her son Edwin Bernard (Patricia) of
Tobique First Nation, NB; her grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Bradley,
Courtney, Dallas, Emily, Josh, Grace, Patience, Stephen Jr.,
Stephanie, Adrianna, Ethan, Phillip, Jordan, and Violet; her brothers,
Sylvester Bernard of Caribou, ME, Eldon Bernard (Della) of Tobique
First Nation, NB, Charles Bernard of Presque Isle, ME; along with
numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her son, Adrian Evans; her
sisters, Bernadette Sappier, Mary Mitchell, and Regis Waloven; her
brothers, Frederick, Herman, and Maynard Bernard.
Resting at 4 Perley Road, Tobique First Nation, NB, starting on
Wednesday at 1 pm and going until 10:30 am on Friday. Funeral service
will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11 am from St. Ann’s
Catholic Church, Tobique First Nation, NB. Father Curtis Sappier
celebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later
date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Ann’s Catholic Church
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
