Susanne M. Wilson
1956-2020
It is with the greatest of sadness that we announce
the passing of Susanne Marie Wilson on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the
Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her ever loving
family.
Susanne is survived by her adoring husband of 44
years, Philip Wilson; children: Melissa Wright (Greg) of
Grand Bay Westfield, Carla Wright (Ryan) of McAdam and Stephanie
Wilson (Steven MacDougall) of St. George. The joy of her retired life
was her grandchildren: Adele, Arthur, Graham and Philip. She
is also survived by her mother, Florence Dickerson, brother, Robert
Dickerson (Terry), sister, Geraldine Dickerson; sister- in-law, Debbie
Faulkner (Mike) of Rothesay, brother- in-law, Stephen Wilson (Ann) of
Sus; several special nieces and
nephews.
Predeceased by her father, William Dickerson and
brother, Larry Dickerson, father-in-law, Raymond Wilson and
mother-in-law, Jean Wilson.
Sue had a god given talent and passion for painting,
jewelry making, knitting, crocheting, sewing, fashion, interior
decorating and gardening. She had a deep love of the ocean, whether it
was in the Caribbean or Oak Bay she could spend hours walking the
beach or kayaking. She had a great love of travelling, Alaska, the
Caribbean, New York, Alberta, British Columbia, the Maritimes as well
as camping were all her favourite things to do. Her health
was always her number one priority and became a licensed personal
trainer in 2001.
Sue graduated from St. Stephen High School and
attended NBCC in St. Andrews. She worked for Guy R Day & Son,
The Great Northern Fence Company and 22 years for the local school
district, 13 years at the Blacks Harbour Elementary School and 9 years
in the payroll department at District
Office.
The family would like to express their deepest
gratitude to the staff at the CCH, and the dedicated caring
team at the SJRH Palliative Care Unit and Charlotte County Extra
Mural, these teams treated Sue and the family with tremendous care and
compassion to make this difficult journey as comforting as
possible.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.
Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St Stephen,
NB. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11 am. Visitors will be
welcomed at The S O Mehan & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main Street,
St. Stephen, NB. from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 5,
2020.
Interment will occur at the Oak Bay Cemetery at a
later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may made in
Susanne’s memory to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or
the Oak Bay Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at
