BUTLER, Steven Kenneth – 54, of Gunning Cove, formerly of Sandy Point. It is with broken hearts the Butler family announce the very, unexpected passing of Steven on Friday May 1st. He was the son of Kenneth Freeman and Ellen Elizabeth (Antonia) Butler. Steven is survived by his wife, Bonnie Marie (Brent); son, Steven Quinn (Hope Goulden), daughter, Lilli Mariah, and sister Paula D. (Butler) Race, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Most important in his life was his family. He enjoyed special occasions, large gatherings, with lots of good food, he wore the chef’s apron. He enjoyed hunting season; being at the camp with Quinn, Lilli, his father and friends. It didn’t bother him if he came home with a rack or not. It was the quality time that meant the most to him. Steven was also known for his kindness, his generosity, his sense of humor; his comebacks were always the best. He was known for his homemade moonshine (hooch) and shared it with many. In his honor, do a good deed, help a family, be a good neighbour and hug your loved ones. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. When time and restrictions allow, a Celebration of Life will be held and be open to family and friends. Donations in Steven’s name may be made to a charity of choice.
