Obituary of Shirley Amanda Van Dorsselaer
VAN DORSSELAER: Peacefully, at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence, Stratford on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Shirley Amanda (Haugh) Van Dorsselaer, of Stratford formerly of Dashwood, age 95. Beloved wife of the late Raymond “Ray” Van Dorsselaer (1980). Mother and mother-in-law of Susan and Tom Morrick of Saskatchewan and the late Robbie (1970). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Arvis Rader of Stratford, Marie and Ralph Astle of Dashwood. Remembered by her nieces and nephews Philip and Fern Rader of Stratford, Marilyn Rader of Owen Sound, Jim and Jean Rader of Shakespeare, Dianne and John Balmer of Port Dover, Wendy and Eric Nethercott of St. Marys, Cindy and David Hynes of Australia, Don and Jen Beaver of Cambridge and their families. Predeceased by her parents William Henry and Hilda Lisetta (Schumacher) Haugh, brother-in-law Elmer Rader (1996), nephew Doug Rader (2015). The Family will receive those who wish to pay their respects for a Visitation at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 115 Cambria Street, Stratford, on Friday, August 7, 2020, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Matthew Fenn Officiant. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Dashwood. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
