It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Shelley Elaine Coffin announces her passing at her residence in Port aux Basques on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020 at the age of 56 years after a long hard battle of Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Shelley was the daughter of the late James and Frances Coffin (nee Pearce). She was also predeceased by her brother Robert (Bob) Coffin.
Shelley leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories her loving sister Sharon (Dave) Carroll of Pasadena, NL, sister-in-law; Lorna Coffin of Port aux Basques, NL, nephews; Robert Coffin (Ashley) of Paradise, NL, James Coffin, Jeffrey Coffin (Stephanie) of Red Deer, AB, niece; Jennifer Dennis (Tyler), grand-nephew; Liam of Cambridge, ON and special aunt Florence Osmond and family of Port aux Basques. She also leaves behind many other aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Coffin and Pearce families.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc (Downtown Location). The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church, Channel-Port aux Basques officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. Interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shelley’s memory can be made to the family or the charity of one’s choice.
