Sharon’s Obituary
TOWNSEND, Sharon Ann- 75, North East Point, passed away January 17, 2020, in Roseway Hospital, Shelburne. Born March 6, 1944 at Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Scott and Ethel Jean (Conrad) Foote. Sharon had a soft spot for her animals; she absolutely loved her dogs and her birds. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Brian Townsend; children, Christine (Troy) Quinlan, Joseph (Rhonda) Townsend, Norman Townsend; sisters, Mary Ann (Layton) Nickerson, Shirley Morash; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Sandy Townsend; brother, Roger Foote, BC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sable and Margaret (Swim) Townsend. The family would like to take the time to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Yarmouth Hospital Dialysis Unit. They would also like to thank Roseway Hospital Palliative Care staff for their kindness and care. There will be a funeral service held Monday, January 20, at 2 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. Interment to follow in the Old Kirk Cemetery, North East Point. It has been requested there be family flowers only. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Crohn’s and colitis Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
