Obituary
Sebastian Lee Richard Worth
With heavy hearts the family of Sebastian Lee Richard Worth announce his untimely passing on October 30, 2020 in Parksville, BC. Sebastian was born on July 10, 2000, in Selkirk, MB. He was predeceased by his older brother Nick in 2013 and leaves to mourn his passing; parents Richard and Stacy, siblings Paige, Rorie and Reece, his uncle Dayne, with whom he shared a close bond, and numerous family and friends across the country.
Full of life, and depicting the class clown, he brought joy to those around him and entertained his friends and family with his antics. As a little boy he loved to play with cars and farm vehicles, and planned to be a street cleaner or a scientist when he grew up. He was obsessed with tornados, read anything on weather, and loved gaming online with friends. He spent two years as a navy cadet but his true love and passion was music. His favourite band was The Who. By age 6 he attended his first rock concert and couldn’t wait to sing ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’. By age 9 he wrote, sang and played his first song, ‘Tornado’. At 10 he won an award for Most Outstanding Musician. Sebastian excelled in English and music class and played electric guitar and trumpet. Gifted at composing poetry and songs, he channeled pain from bullying he faced in his school years into Rap Music and pushed on to graduate in 2018. He adopted the music name Venerable from the Greek meaning “Sebastian, being kind and good”. He changed his music name briefly to Illumini, then E$B Explicit, before his final name of Glizzlo. By age 18 Sebastian had created a vast collection of music and videos with his friends, many of which can be found on YouTube. Sebastian could be found at the computer at all hours writing, singing, creating, editing in the studio he built in the basement to record. He was offered a spot to compete in an out of province music competition but could not accept as he needed to be 19 years old to enter. He worked for a year at SMHC in support services before his thirst for adventure and decision for a fresh start lead him to Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island to live with his uncle Dayne last September. He continued to work on his music but also took time to hike, camp, travel and enjoy life to the fullest. He developed close bonds with family and friends on the Island. We were fortunate to spend time exploring with him on the Island in July. Spending quality time together on the beach will be a memory our family will cherish.
Sebastian was a beautiful, loving soul with a crazy sense of humour who touched those around him. His adorable big, blue eyes and long lashes melted the ladies hearts. He was passionate about the people in his life and his music, stood up for the under dog, and held them up when they had struggles. He loved his family with all his heart, fiercely protected the twins and made sure he was there for them when they needed him. We are so proud of the man he grew up to be. We are blessed with your legacy, your voice and your music. There is a giant hole in our hearts that will never go away.
His very last words received from him via text speak to Sebastian’s character: I love ya mom love all ya. I can’t wait to come back and visit in the spring. <3 A poem by Sebastian Worth One Grand Tree One Grand Tree, planted in the faint grass Edge of the cliff Far from Life Echo River below, fresh water Skiff strew the body Invisible oasis Choking desert Earth present, grass dying One Grand Tree, nurture alone Soft wind, deep breath Mother Nature remains one Sebastian you ARE our One Grand Tree.
