In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place no one else will ever fill.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sarkis Raheb, 96 years old. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 and built a beautiful life with his dear wife, the late Theresa Raheb (1996). Together, they shared 3 loving children, Mona Raffoul (Mike), Joe Raheb (Melanie), and David Raheb. He was a cherished grandfather to Jenny Baselj (Steve), Michael Raffoul (Mary-Ann), Robbie Raffoul (Elizabeth), Christine Raheb, Tarez Raheb, Dawson Raheb, and Trinity Raheb. An adoring great-grandfather to Terissa Baselj, Steve Baselj, Jonny Baselj, Mikey Raffoul, Christopher Raffoul, Robbie Raffoul, Nathan Raffoul, and Chloe Raffoul. A proud son of the late Toufic and the late Zarifeh (Yezbeck) Raheb. A dear brother of the late Tannous Raheb (the late Marie). A beloved brother-in-law to the late Paul Raheb (the late Theresa), the late Milia Raffoul (the late Backous), the late Annie Boutros (the late Michael), Sister Danielle Raheb, Charles Raheb (Isabelle), and the late Tony Raheb (Dalale). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family extends their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff at the Village of Aspen Lakes, Chartwell Leamington Retirement Residence, and the Emergency Department at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Sarkis retired from the Canadian National Railway (CN) of Windsor, Ontario. He was well known for his infectious smile and beautiful heart… his memory will forever be engrained in our hearts. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street Leamington on Sunday December 13th, 2-5 pm and 6:30 -9pm. Eulogy and prayers at 8 pm – Live stream connection will be made available. Private family visitation on Monday, December 14, 2020. Prayers and entombment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions, visitation and Funeral Mass are limited to a specific number of people at a time. Only those with an appointment will be let in.
