Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sandra Lee Tait (Hoffman) announces her sudden passing at her residence in Port aux Basques on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the age of 56 years. Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts her partner Todd Marshall, daughter Amanda Tait (Gerelle Johnson) of Hamilton, Ontario and her precious granddaughter Aurelia who brought so much joy to her life and Todd’s sons Scott of Whitehorse, Yukon and Ashley (Tanya) of Grande Prairie, AB
Sandra will also be sadly missed by her sisters; Geri Colter, Shirley Hamilton, Kim Kelly (John) and brother in law Kelly Taylor many nieces, nephews, cousins and her good friends in Manitoba and Western Canada She will be fondly remembered by as she called them her Newfoundland family Classie and Albert Marshall, Lorna Coffin, Bonnie Marshall (Dean), Cynthia Francis (Wade), Julia Sooley (Eugene) and Todd’s nephews Robert, James, Jeffrey, Philip, Reginald, Seth and Shea.
She was predeceased by her parents Edna & Emil Hoffman, sister Audrey Taylor and brother-in-law Max Colter.
Sandra grew up in Virden, Manitoba, she attended Assiniboine College and Brandon University where she graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her RN in 1997. After graduating she worked in Sioux Valley and then continued her nursing career in Yellowknife, NWT and Fairview, Alberta. She moved to Newfoundland in 2013 and loved the quiet pace of life. She enjoyed nature and especially the quiet walks at Cheeseman Park, she was an easy going person and quickly made some good friends, she also volunteered with the local cadets.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place in the summer of 2020. Donations in memory of Sandra can be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road, 695-2300. www.easthavenfuneralhome.com
