Sandra Anne “Sandy” Higgins
1963-2020
Sandra Anne “Sandy” (George) Higgins
– age 56, of Kentville, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in the
Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a
daughter of the late Harold and Delta (Clowry) George. Sandy had a
huge heart and was kind, caring and loving. She had a love for
animals, if she wasn’t bringing them home, she was providing
support to them. Sandy was a graduate of Central Kings Rural High
School and from the Banking and Finance Program at Kings Regional
Vocational School. She was an avid painter and crafter and was
generous with the gifting of her talents. Sandy enjoyed time with the
girls from her Tuesday night class. The family would like to extend a
special thanks to Dr. Michael Shaffelburg and his staff, Angela and
Tina, as well as Dr. Crystal Todd. She is survived by her husband,
Scot Higgins; siblings, Donna (George) Crozier, Doug (Coralee) George,
Brenda Wellwood and Jimmy George; brother-in-law, Tom Chiasson. She
will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Pat
Chiasson and brother-in-law, Paul Wellwood.
Cremation has taken place. There will be
no visitation, by request. A celebration of life will take place at a
later date. Donations in memory may be made to Ivy’s
Memorial Rescue Fund, c/o Leesa White, 74 Gerrish Street, P. O. Box
3843, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line
