Ruwen Igel The man we say goodbye to today, was no ordinary man. He was the youngest of 8 children. He survived the holocaust, fought in two wars and came to Canada from Israel and went on to build a successful business.
He was respected and loved by all of his employees and was always there to lend a helping hand. His strength of character was admired by many and his kindness was felt by all who knew him.
The love for his family was unconditional and no sacrifice was too great. He adored his wife Mira of 64 years and was an amazing father to Carol and Steve and a great father in law to Leslie. He was a supportive brother, brother in law and uncle.
He was an adoring grandfather to Jason, Dena, Ryan, Josh and Taylor and great granddaughter Chase. They all loved him deeply. His stories and encouragement were endless and will never be forgotten.
He fought to the very end of his illness, never complained and his strength is an inspiration to his family.
