It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Schouten (nee Totman), with her family by her side, on Friday, May 1, 2020 at the age of 62. Beloved daughter of Lorenza Totman (Roy, predeceased). Loving and supportive wife for 41 years of Cor Schouten. Cherished mother of Trevor (Stephanie) and Carla Whynott (Kevin). Her memory and legacy will live on in her grandchildren Kurtis, Dominic, Jillian, Brooke and Brody. Ruth will also be missed by her siblings Debbie Bouwmeester (Con, predeceased), Fay Rusak (Dave) and Roy (Margret). Her loss will also be felt by her sisters and brothers in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Ruth was a beautiful soul who touched the hearts of many. The importance of family and faith were at the core of who she was, what she stood for, and what she wanted to pass on to her loved ones. There will be a memorial service held at a later date to celebrate Ruth’s life. If desired, donations can be made to St. George’s Anglican Church in Espanola.
