Russell Theodore Elliott
1941-2020
Russell Theodore Elliott, 78, of Riverview passed away
unexpectedly on April 23rd, 2020 at his
home.
Russell was born in Alma West, now known as Fundy National
Park, on July 18, 1941 the son of the late Charles and Ruby
(Prosser) Elliott.
He worked at CN as a bodyman repairing tractor
trailers. Russell was a people person and loved to
have conversations with anyone willing to talk, he could spend hours
getting to know someone or just catching up on the local
news. He had a fondness for all his friends and relatives in
Albert County where he grew up. He never missed his
morning tea at Tim Hortons with his friends. He was an avid
sports fan and enjoyed the banter as he cheered for certain
teams. Russell will be remembered for his great sense of
humour and telling stories. He has left his family with many
memories to treasure. He felt blessed to have
the love of his life, Mary with him for 53
years before she passed in 2015 and he was fortunate enough to find
another lady , Sadie, who gave his life meaning again and he was so
grateful for the times they shared. ” A Memory Is A
Keepsake That Lives In Our Hearts Forever.”
He will be deeply missed by his special companion, Sadie;
daughter, Darlene Moar of Salisbury; son, Stephen Elliott of Halifax;
his six cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Sarah (Bryan Robichaud),
Kimberly ( Howie), Jonathan, Stephanie and Madeline; precious
great-grandchildren, Brycen, Valorie and Leah; brother, Charles Dale
Elliott (Margie) of Riverside-Albert. He will also be missed
by Sadie’s children, Tracy, Tanya and Kevin; his nieces, nephews, all
his extended family and friends. His special little dog,
Shadow, had a very special place in his
heart.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife,
Mary (Edgett) Elliott.
Honouring Russell’s own wishes there will be no visitation
or funeral service at this time. A graveside service will
take place in the Alma Untied Cemetery, Alma, NB at a later
date.
Donations to the SPCA or charity of the donor’s choice in
Russell’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
