Russell Allardyce

ALLARDYCE, Russell – On December 21, 1924, the doctor came during a snowfall by horse and cutter to Hickson, ON and Russell Edwards Moffatt Allardyce came into this world. In his 96th year on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, Russell passed peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock with family by his side.
Survived by his children, Jane Allardyce, Nancy Gilbert, and Tom Allardyce; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Bruce; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Eleanor (2002) and brother Elwood (2007).
An engaging conversationalist, Russell enjoyed learning of people’s backgrounds and sharing his lifetime of experiences, as well as his interests in antique tools, cars, steam engines and telling us about growing up in East Zorra in the 1920’s and 30’s.
A private family interment has taken place. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the The Easter Seal Society-London and would be gratefully appreciated.
