Obituary
Rosie Preachuk
March 25, 1929 – December 24, 2020
Rosie passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Betel Home in Selkirk on December 24, 2020 at the age of 91 years.
Rosie was born in Alberta and it was there she met her husband Alex. They later moved to Winnipeg to be closer to family. They purchased their home in St. Andrew’s and welcomed everyone into their home. Rosie went to work in a sewing factory where she made many lifelong friends. In the summer she took great pride in her flowers and her huge garden. Rosie crocheted the most beautiful table cloths and dollies which she gifted to family. Rosie and Alex loved all their nieces and nephews and spoiled them as if they were their own. Sadly in 1988 Alex passed away and Rosie made the decision to move into the Knights Centre in Selkirk. When her health began to fail she went into the Betel Home. She enjoyed teasing all the staff and having a good laugh. They were so kind to her. We are extremely grateful to all of them for the care and compassion they showed to her.
There will be a family service at a later date where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Alex. We take comfort in knowing they are once again reunited.
