GOOSSENS, Rose Elizabeth (nee Grohs) – passed away at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Thursday, August 27th, 2020 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Edmond Goossens (1998). Predeceased by her parents, the late Daniel & Elizabeth Grohs. Dear sister of Dan Grohs (Mary) of Simcoe. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family. Predeceased by her sisters Ella Reif (late Henry) and Clara Schebesch (late Joseph). Rose was a very active, long time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Many will remember her as wonderful teacher who taught in many Norfolk schools, ending her career as the librarian at South Public School in Simcoe. A private family visitation will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe. A private funeral service will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Simcoe with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating. Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.
